Mariah Johns Garcia, LCSW

I am Mariah Johns Garcia (She, Her, Hers), Licensed Master Social Worker. I am passionate about providing a safe, caring, and thriving atmosphere for individuals of all ages to be able to explore and process trauma and life stressors. I strive to wholeheartedly and non-judgementally support, validate, and empower individuals for where they are, while they develop into their fullest potential. I am zealous supporter of people who are ready to begin their healing journey and who want to help themselves.

I practice from a person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. Additionally, I utilize viewpoints from Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I work with individuals, couples, and families from a wide range of backgrounds and ages. I am eager to engage in trauma work because I believe every person deserves to heal from the situations that have wounded them. My goal in trauma work is to help people identify and process their emotions, feelings, and thoughts related to traumatic experiences, so they develop the skills and insight to have more control over themselves, rather than trauma controlling them.
